During the Progressive era, the governmental expansion was rapid in the United States. The progressive era brought many changes in social, economic and in the political sectors. It can be said that the political sector experienced a massive changes as the contrasting ideas between the traditionalists and the progressives was very evident at that time. The imposed liberalism by the Progressives opened new ways for the government for interfering more with people’s lives. As Wolf (2007) states that “The goal of highlighting the inherent moderation of classical
